Experts raise privacy concerns over Michigan bill targeting pornography and VPNs Rep. Josh Schriver, the bill’s sponsor, says the law is designed to target only producers and distributors of pornography, not everyday internet users.

Buried in Michigan's antiporn bill is a provision to effectively outlaw "circumvention tools," such as VPNs.

Mark my words: legislators will increasingly leverage porn panic to restrict or ban VPNs, and to limit internet privacy far beyond adult sites.

Not shocking at all

Considering how they treated (and continue to treat) the Japanese-Brazilians who moved to Japan over the last few decades, none of this is very shocking.

For the longest time I wondered why the comic font Whizbang has such an intense italic slant. Way more than most italic variants. Then I realized that it was a near-exact match for John Costanza's lettering and he just did that. Lol at how strong that shear is!

I have seen every available screen adaptation of IVANHOE (including the Italian peplum) but one version continues to elude me (I think it may actually be a lost film)
