I only have 20 min on this, but it is already nice. Flame Nebula (NGC 2024) on the left & Horsehead Nebula (Barnard 33) on the right. Big star @ top is Alnitak, the left star in Orion's belt. We should have stopped
to watch the sunset,
smell the flowers &
take in the sea breeze.
Now the sky has
an atomic color,
it's raining ashes & all
the flowers have wilted.
& I don't know if we are
trapped in the Upside Down
or an actual bomb has been dropped
& I can't say what's worth.

Full print wrap of Harrowfield. Cover shows tree shadowing two standing stones. Back shows a larger monolith with 2 ravens flying above it.

Back blurb shown:
Harrowfield is a tiny village in the Marches, that wild strip of borderland between England and Wales. On the edge of this village lies another field, the Harrow Field, the one from which the settlement takes its name. At its entrance stands the Mother Stone, guarding her Children, the two smaller monoliths at the top of the field. This is the ancient site of the Harrowing.

When Derwenna Parry’s brother goes missing whilst surveying farmland, she and his daughters head to the village to track him down. Midsummer approaches and, even though they find him unharmed, they become caught up in strange events which lead them to the Harrowing. An ancient act of penance … or sacrificial revenge?

Thank you, everyone, for the support yesterday with the release of Harrowfield. As an indie writer it is appreciated. ❤

My quiet folk horror builds around rural traditions, too many of which are lost today. It's an aspect I prefer to champion in my writing, the events driven by the rural
