Proceeds of this sale are going to The Hero Initiative and BINC, making it the very first sale of an Action Comics #1 to benefit the industry!

And if you didn’t see the previous posts, the grade is now a CGC 7.0 Conserved after going to Florida with it to CGC’s HQ and it is now with the good folks at Heritage Auctions where it’ll go up for bidding in May!

In case you were curious what I looked like at the exact moment I closed the deal on selling an Action Comics #1.

Just wrapped up a 3 day remodel at the Ventura store. New steel book shelves, new window clings, new gaming chairs, and more fun little upgrades. Now I’m onto curating and merchandising the graphic novels!

A special career highlight to say the least.

If you’re a collector and a fan of one of the greatest comic book writers of all time, these will be on sale through Heritage Auctions later in the year!

They collect his comps from the 70s and some of his favorite works from the 60s. It’s just the coolest thing and again, I know I’ve said it before and sound like a broken record, but it really is such an honor to be helping with this.

There’s many special and unique things that are part of it but one thing that I’m just especially blown away by are these leather bounded custom books.

The news is out !I’m selling Action Comics #1, the FIRST APPEARANCE OF SUPERMAN, one of the rarest and most valuable comics of all time! This holy grail of comic book collectibles was brought down to CGC headquarters in Florida this week & graded where it received an immaculate 7.0 Conserved grade!

I’ve been in Florida for the week on some very important top secret career defining business (yes, really no hyperbole there) and had the pleasure of ending my business with a comic shop road trip, seeing some of my favorite people in the industry!

Today we hosted a store signing with Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance in honor of the brand new Dark Horse Comics graphic novel Christmas 365! Mikey was accompanied by co-writer Jonathan Rivera and letterer Josh Reed! One of our best signings ever!
