It's weird to me, as a human being, to hear anybody say that any other human being does not have the right to basic respect and decency because of some arbitrary limiter that they made up.

Everyone is human, everything else is a description, not a qualifier.

He's referring to the average person who doesn't actually know that weather and climate are two different things.

A layman refers to somebody who has at least studied on a high school level some topic. They're not professional but they are at least informed.

High school science teaches you that different temperature air has different densities and that affects how air flows over the wing of a plane.

Currently the elderly are not treated or cared for well.
In human hands they die from neglect, get raped, have meds and valuables stolen from them.

If having some robotic med techs prevents that, I'm for it.

Having worked in facilities, this might actually be an improvement.

Less chance of human error on medications.
Higher likelihood of maintaining sanitary environments.
Less likely to have the elderly sexually assaulted.

Lots of facilities are REALLY bad.

I took inspiration for a predatory species from Star Trek.
