The rule is nearly always a purely partisan vote because it represents majoritarian control of the floor. In this case it also included things besides the funding bill that Dems oppose

They can't get a vote on it without breaking the filibuster, which they don't have the votes to do, and even if they did, they don't have the votes to pass the bill. It's not going to pass!

Final passage for the Senate-passed funding bill was surprisingly close in the House. Fewer Dems voting yes than I expected and more Republicans voting no. Once again all Dems were here, also. Dem leadership voted no across the board

A note on attendance- this is the 11th time House Dems have achieved full attendance in 2026 (out of 51 votes); we had just 1 on absence on another 8. R's have had full attendance 0 times and 1 absence just once. Attendance is a huge factor with the party breakdown so close, and Dems are crushing it
