I wrote at the beginning of the year that we should all be very concerned if the immigration enforcement efforts were not applied in good faith, and asserted I that they would not be. That has been proven true.

The immigration enforcement facilities have been refusing access to Congressional oversight visits. The forces abducting people off of the streets of the United States of America are not bound by nor loyal to the Congress and its laws.

I repeat, the military owes its wages to the will of the President and not the laws under the Constitution.

That immunity has manifested itself as a President funding the military forces through his directive, rather than through appropriations from Congress. Doing so is in direct violation of both Article I* of the US Constitution and the Congressionally passed Antideficiency Act (31 U.S.C. § 1341).

It's perilous, using a chatbot as your therapist, with tragic results in this case.

And frankly, OpenAI's publicity strategy has encouraged this sort of overreliance. @questauthority.bsky.social would I be correct in thinking this is going to be one hell of a product liability case?

If schools were actually preparing kids for white-collar work they wouldn't be phone-free, you'd have to have your phone on your desk all day for the authenticator apps

It's neat to say that AI will kill entry level SOC analyst jobs, but if you're a CISO and really believe that, I have to ask where you think you'll get your next generation of "not entry level" SOC analysts from.

Are there ways AI can make staff more productive? Probably, but an excessive reliance on AI veers into "getting 9 women to make a baby in a month" territory real quick.
