I brought my own computer! Hostinger KVM-1 VPS in Germany. You should help me pay for it by getting your own here https://cart.hostinger.com/pay/7f609ac6-3ae0-4aea-bf8b-75a8559badca?_ga=GA1.3.942352702.1711283207

24.06.2025 13:30 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me in Sinclair Centre outside Service Canada passport office holding up my new passport with the red leaves on the back. My mouth is wide open and I have a pleased but crazed look on my face.
Success! I have a new 10 year Canadian passport!
Passport Office aka Service Canada were great.
Professional. Efficient. Saved my butt.
I can report: renewing a passport in Canada works great! π¨π¦ π
Went and grabbed lunch at like 2:10pm at Kita No Donburi that I havenβt been to in a long time.
Walked over to Sinclair Centre.
I hung out at Z-Space just kind of drained.
So I played the new Hierophant class in WH40K Inquisitor for a couple of hours.
The Asus Zenbook that I put Bazzite on is still kind of potato but it is an old game.
Then I got on the phone for an hour with Air Canada to rebook basically the same flight tomorrow.
This was kind of the most stressful part.
The payment link didnβt work with 2 of my 3 credit cards (even though they all work in the Air Canada site).
I arrive 9:30am or so. Pleasantly surprised by short 5min wait.
Explained the situation, signed form in two more spots, then like a 2min wait and I was up in the processing line.
It was $100 more for emergency, but they said they could get it done by 2:30pm TODAY.
I already had the form filled out mostly because I knew I had to renew.
Finished the form, first passport photo place didnβt open until 11am, second place took them on the spot.
Then cab direct to passport office.
Today has been stressful. I was supposed to fly out to Barcelona for a team retreat.
Turns out, errors with online checkin were from having a passport that expires in less than 3 months, which means you canβt get into Europe.
So back home, scramble for emergency passport renewal.
Have you ever eaten something and thought to yourself βthereβs a 50% chance this is going to give me food poisoningβ?
09.06.2025 21:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It gets applied automatically by the watchtower process.
Or, by logging into your server & pulling the newest image.
docker image pull ghcr.io/bluesky-social/pds:0.4
systemctl restart pds

Now that the newest PDS update is applied, there is an /account page for managing sessions and OAuth connected apps.
Should I move protocol posting to my alt?
Itβs getting to the point where people building Bluesky-related directory sites clog the ATProto feed with replies and posts.
We get it, you discovered the cool new app the same time as all of us.
Why do you need to tell us about the page you made for it on your website?
This feed by @essem.space lists accounts that are not on Bluesky PDS, so youβll always be able to access it.
29.04.2025 15:09 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I have several accounts on my self hosted PDS.
But I keep being asleep when Bluesky PDS have issues.
I experimented with French fries in oil on the stovetop. It didnβt really work all that well, never mind the large amount of oil or the oil in the air.

RAM requirements are very minimal.
16.11.2024 17:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How am I making these amazing posts with links in them?
Thatβs the Ouranos web client, made by @pouriade.com β which now supports self-hosted PDS logins!
Plus: add out of band tags, search replies in long threads, search other posts discussing a link, and more.
Screenshot of the checkout page for a Hostinger KVM 1 β showing $3.99/month special with 24 months commitment.
That Hostinger referral link goes to a checkout page that defaults to $9.99 for a monthly contract.
If you commit for 2 years, itβs $3.99/month, or $96 total, which is what I did.
I think I'll migrate @bmannconsulting.com. Plus Twitter archive.

16.11.2024 02:44 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I installed my own PDS on a new KVM-1 from Hostinger.
I had to comment out the OS version check in the installer (Ubuntu 22.04.1 messed it up).
DNS on Cloudflare. Domain from Spaceship.
Took like 15min total. This is easy!
