This week's game is Wizard Fire, the follow-up to Data East's D&D-inspired Gate of Doom that really doesn't stray far from it at all. However, an injection of style ends up adding some substance alongside it, resulting in a game that I found myself quite a bit more endeared to:

How does this compare to the arcade game? I played that at a barcade a while back and it was fun, but it def felt like it went on forever (I think we were standing there for 2 hours)

Perfect example, I've watched at least 3 people play Detroit: Become Human and it gets harder to take it seriously every time

I also think not all opinions have to be taken w/ the same weight/seriousness but that might be a separate issue altogether.

Everyone's looked at something and been like "why do people like this?" but I don't think people should take that as a serious criticism

I think it depends on the opinion, you can definitely glean things from watching a game. I think the real thing people mean when they say "you need to play a game to have an opinion" is "don't blindly parrot youtubers", which is like, yeah. That's true lol

I've heard conflicting things on how popular the game was when it came out, but it's something that hasn't really shown up in tournaments outside of Japan...

I wanna keep focused on Karnovember but I think next month I might make a little video on SFEX2. That game is so cool and it doesn't get enough love imo
