How can you say the Android version and other apps like on the Nintendo Switch don't support .ass?... If they burned in subs on those devices, then changing/hiding subs from the video stream would be impossible. srsly, check again before spouting nonsense.

What are you talking about?... The typeset was basically on the subtitle file, they didn't have to burn into the video (That speaks amounts of how you know nothing about .ass sub files)...
