Tiger for #internationaltigerday!

This one is pseudomelanistic, meaning they have a condition which causes an increased number of dark markings/stripes/spots in the animal's coat. Pseudomelanistic tigers are only found in Simlipal Tiger Reserve, making these felines very, very rare.

Stunning photograph! Fenrir was one of my favorite mythological beasts to learn about 💙

Fenrir, the Dark Wolf is a dark nebula that looks like the silhouette of a wolf on a background of red. The wolf's 'head' is at centre-right, with its body in the centre of the frame. The red comes from Hydrogen alpha emission, and the black from obscuring gas and dust, blocking the light behind. Skywatcher MN190 telescope and ZWO ASI 2600mc camera.

This dark nebula is named after the monstrous wolf from Norse mythology. I captured this from my Sydney backyard during a batch of good weather in late June. 6 hours of Ha (ALP-T filter), with 30 minutes of colour (L-Pro filter) for the stars. 🔭 #Astrophotography
