I’m on my 5th Motability car & have never been β€œgiven” one yet. Advanced payments cost even more because I can only drive an auto due to leg neuropathy, and have to have one big enough for my folding power chair to go in the boot. Why are MPs allowed to lie so blatantly when it comes to disability?

My sister has a motability car and has never been "given" one. So where are these free cars hmm? She usually pays between 3/4k advance payment plus monthly motility allowance plus extra for necessary adaptions. So who exactly is getting a free car 'cause it certainly isn't the disabled!

What would be nice is to have the same spec minus things that take away boot space and "sport" seats that make getting out a little more awkward.

Motability in the news once more for giving out luxury cars. So I'll say it again once more - it's cheaper to get the luxury model with the features built in then to adapt a basic car with automated everything.

Badenoch: Motability cars not for people with ADHD Conservative Party Leader Kemi Badenoch says she would "restrict" motability cars so that they only go to those with "serious disabilities", adding they're "not for people with ADHD".

uk.news.yahoo.com/badenoch-mot...

Technically this sentence is right because it is almost impossible to get a Motability car just because you've got ADHD.

Can we have politics that does not try and divide the country please? Can you try and understand the problem before kicking off?

Get news article after new article about AI writing advanced malware. Every single one of the is a load of guff. What it is doing is allowing them to churn out fake site after fake site, complete with you-tube videos of guff to trick users into download the stuff they used to send via email.

The Telegraph is appalled that the BBC praised the rapper in Bob Vylan er, twenty years ago. Just wait until they hear about the appalling, radicalised rag that gave them a four star review eight months ago.

It's like every job advertised these days is for long shifts. Yet study after study shows it's generally bad for people and productivity. There there is the disability side - long hours are making it hard for people who can't do long hours to get jobs.

Stress blamed for high number of NHS call handlers quitting High numbers of staff leaving because of high pressure, lack of support, verbal abuse, long shifts and low pay, union says

I don't get why Jobs like this are a 12 hour shift. A much shorter shift which gives staff time to properly recover mentally would seem way more sensible www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

I think they've improved it a bit after the joke that Download 2023 was, but haven't been back since. It's a shame as it was and had a good team helping out just seemed like higher ups lost interest and wanted to save money. www.disabilitynewsservice.com/music-festiv....

I got ruined when Festival Republic turned up and tried to run it like Leeds and Reading. Since then they have been chipping away at what made it good and penny pinching and things like chairs that don't fall apart, or enough platform space for the number of tickets sold.

Download? Why would I want to go when I can see the headliners I want to see a year earlier at Piece Hall, with an actual decent disabled platform, good sound and you can actually see and band? Plus all the smaller bands I want to see don't do Download anymore
