I am a huge fan of police using deescalation. That being said officers being equipped to handle the threats against them is a must. This is a problem better solved with gun reform laws so officers are facing less equipped hostile threats and better police training to encourage deescalation tactics.

The DOJ said they’re not releasing the pictures of videos of the murder, abuse, and torture from the files.

Which means they have pictures and video of individuals that they’re choosing to protect murdering, raping, and torturing children.
