Fun side note for UMEA attendees related to our talk: I had one of my alumni reach out to me right before the session asking me for some weird wind band works to listen to. I promise you they will ask.

Don’t be afraid to bring in the single framework YOU believe makes better performers- let them approach their music making in a new way with you and their normal director might ask you more about it: at the very least, they’ll love that you tried something new to their benefit!

Oh, another thing- I want to add to what I hope will continue to be a near constant deluge of thoughts of how much we loved David Lynch and his art: getting to see and read the wonderful thoughts and expressed values of an artist in every sense of the word has been a bright spot in a dark time.

I am eagerly awaiting the hard work of the team trying to get Flashes up and running- I am positive that many people are waiting for the moment they can join federated social media platforms. As will I.

Last time running this show down: I am going to share some thoughts soon I think, but I gotta say, I’m going to miss it. It’s been a good way to learn and develop part of my musicianship that I share through education but don’t get time to explore for myself. #hadestown
