My daughter is about to start uni next year and will accumulate a debt of $87,000 by the end. Nothing is being done for her to address the artificial inflation of her degree by the Morrison Govt. Nothing is being done to allay the defunding of our universities. They won’t even look at it for years.

There is no global action that will meaningfully halt global warming. There is no meaningful progress. So it’s in this context that it’s wise of Gates o use v limited resources to prioritise safeguarding the most vulnerable as climate change is already here; & global instability & inequity is ⬆️ing

The world’s powerful will not tackle the climate damage that’s the consequence of enriching them. I guess Gates has decided this is immovable, a lost cause; and it’s time to prioritise supporting those that will harmed most: the poor & the ordinary citizen.
