Are there any TLDs that weren't in the original lineup that serve any purpose other than hosting scams?

12.06.2025 20:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Out of interest, have you ever tried feeding the pelican image back to the model and asking it to improve it?
09.06.2025 05:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Spectacular ad placement under Edith Pritchett's typically excellent cartoon in @theguardian.com today.
07.06.2025 16:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hmm. This might have actually benefited from an AI copy-edit. Glad to hear humans will 'keep staying in the loop', whatever that means... #azure
04.06.2025 17:41 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Quickest way to reliably find business logic flaws is to change your mindset:
You're not looking for bugs, you're hunting for assumptions.
Somewhere out there, a dev assumed no one would ever do *that*. So be the first person to do it.

This sounds really interesting! Are slides or recordings available?

25.04.2025 05:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0If you're in the market for a used laptop, you could do a lot worse than a Dell Latitude 7290. 16GB RAM, 256SSD, Thunderbolt 3 for well under Β£200. Runs Win 11 nicely, if that's your thing.
15.04.2025 16:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We add all of the app registrations we care about to a security group, then we have an icinga check which uses graph API to list all secrets for each app registration in that group and warn if they are close to some expiry threshold. Old-skool but works nicely.

24.03.2025 07:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Windows laptop with VSCode remote to an on-prem Linux box has proved remarkably effective for me. I nearly fell off my chair when I copied my ~/.ssh/ from my old WSL to a new OOTB Win 11 install, and SSH Just Worked. Still haven't installed WSL on the new machine.
06.03.2025 05:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can't put my finger on it, but I'm finding the prose style of the most recent Claude Sonnet is significantly less clunky and 'AI-seeming' than other models. From Simon's examples here I'd say this includes GPT-4.5. I just find Claude's output more readable (I also prefer its pelicans :)

28.02.2025 18:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Likewise for me for Azure. Not least because debugging weird issues exposes me to parts of the API I'd probably never have interacted with otherwise π
27.02.2025 07:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you have any examples of human completions of the pelican-on-a-bicycle test? I feel like Claude now does as well as I could do!
