The thing about the unexpected is you get to decide what to make of it. Today, the power went out for a couple of hours. So I went to the gym and had an unplanned, weirdly relaxing workout.

An older version of me would have been pissed. I'm turning into someone who sees chaos as opportunity.

The other day, I said self-care is work. It's also magic.

After days of intense self-care, making myself my top priority, I feel the most calm and clear-minded I've felt in years.

I still have significant issues to work through and challenges to overcome. But I feel at peace. ☺️

Why are guys on dating apps so terrible?

For reference, I'm pan. I chat with guys and girls. I'm also trans. Guys either come on WAY too strong, WAY too into me being trans, or they miss that detail in my profile and promptly freak and flee when I point it out.

Both extremes are dehumanizing.
