I spent the day at a museum. Fossils, pottery, ancient carvings, and lots of reminders that the dead still tell their stories if we take the time to listen.

When "kind but not nice" meant "you don't have to be obsequious to be a good person," I was all for it, but now that people are using it to mean "it's virtuous that I treat people like shit in everyday interactions because I have good beliefs," I'm out. You're not kind if you can't be nice, sorry.

Okay, my streak broke. I did watch #SeaKraken tonight, but they didn't win. I'm looking at it as a test of how much I like hockey. Am I willing to keep watching even if they aren't winning? Absolutely!

I'm going to keep writing. I never should have stopped, and I waited too long to start putting it out there. Whether sales happen or not, I need to tell stories.

Also thankful for indie authors and artists here. Seeing people talk openly about these things, and seeing people support each other, helps calm that part of me that wants to scream, "Why am I failing?!"

After a really nice and encouraging start... yeah, I'm makin' no sales. I'm thankful for my family reminding me that, as hard as things are for us, it's even harder for a lot of other people. Lack of sales for a new author right now says nothing about how good I am.

My weekly reading for insight on my work for the week gives me hope! Roots are Pentacles and Jazz is Wands in the Rhythm and Soul deck. I know what the 10 of Jazz is about, and it makes sense how it would pair with the 8 of Roots. I have a good idea how it could lead to Justice.
