When I see weird fiction/cosmic horror/eldritch horror, they all kind of register for me as "same family, close enough". I know what to expect.

But are they actually different? There's a lot of variety in speculative fiction, which these are part of. But am I assuming too much similarity in these?

My writing, knitting, and crochet are where I make the good stuff.

I've also been told I'm great at gardening, but I think a lot of that is just giving plants what they need to do their own thing. And making deals with the skinks.

I will be a lot more proud of a very basic plucking out "Happy Birthday" than I could ever be of prompting AI to generate the sound of an orchestra playing it.

I'm not good at playing piano. I have some talent, but no real skill. I have "high amateur" skill with ukulele. I call my sketchbook a "weirdbook" because I like doing art, but it's all weird.

And I keep doing it. Because it's me. It's real. It's not AI.

I think it's because I know everybody has it hard right now. It was easier for me to promote work I did in the past. Now, it kinda feels like I'm just telling people who need money that I need money.

I've got a family member off work for a few months to recover from surgery, another may be seeing a cardiologist soon, and we recently had to pay a bill for my support animal's end of life.

Yet I still feel like I'm bothering people when I say, "I have work available to buy."

The story I'm writing keeps growing. Honestly, that means these six stories will not keep you occupied while you wait. But you can read my stories and then read other indie authors!

I'm late because no one ever told me this show was pretty much made for me, but I started watching "The Librarians". Not the new one - I JUST started.

I'm scared of what's going to happen to these characters because I love all of them. Characters I love don't get good endings.

And yet...Easy Rawlins, Denzel Washington...but I've never seen "Devil in a Blue Dress". I don't know how it's never happened.

People who know me know I love the Phillip Marlowe mysteries by Raymond Chandler. But he's not actually my favorite.

I LOVE the Easy Rawlins mysteries by Walter Mosely! I hope to own a full set of physical copies someday.

Really late start to the day because I had a seizure. Now I'm frustrated that I may not be able to work on my writing today.
