I think this really depends on your skill set. I’m a primary teacher with a music degree and a licentiate diploma in teaching of flute, so well equipped to teach music. But I’ve got many colleagues who could do with a music specialist. I’d love a science specialist though!

We are the right people to act as a hub - absolutely- we have the access and hopefully the trust but like you say we need the funding and resourcing.

It's going to be virtually impossible to get the huge majority of parents whose children are in the state school system to care even slightly about VAT on private school fees but the right wing press are giving it a jolly good go. 😂🤦‍♀️

Agree. And many of the missing services need restoration so that schools can concentrate on education. My school is 65% PP and currently 42% SEND with 9% high needs. We spend a large proportion of our budget and time on support around social care, health and basics such as housing.

Completely agree. The English system is not a success. Developmentally inappropriate curriculum. Poor links between expectations in different key stages. Too much testing. No time to consolidate. Massive disengagement impacting attendance and mental health.
