Kerala: Way of the Elephant might fit your criteria. Also, Sandeep Parikh, et al, produced the Desiquest RPG Actual Play (Jasmine as DM) with a custom India-based mythic context. It might be hard to wrap that as a gift, but it is great to watch together.
