Really great video from @hankgreen.bsky.social.
Research done without motivated reasoning is needed in public health. RFK Jr is incapable of that.

Husband, Father of 4 (34 yrs old): I fully recognize I'm probably wrong on some stuff. Democrat with capitalist tendencies.

@hankgreen.bsky.social this video is a great compliment to yours today.
And I hope it's okay for me to say @davidkipping.bsky.social speaks highly of the channel.
Super excited to wear my metal Frieren shirt!! Thanks @midwestmother.bsky.social!!

This sounds bad.
Seems like you should be able to gently point the other way passively and beg the question, "When do you think they will tone it down?".
I'm not sure change would be good coming away from this.
But the fact that he died seems to be a reason this will be different.
Nowadays I'm pro- gerrymandering hard ball and pro- killing the filibuster but anti- expanding the court.
And I really worry about the frequency I see pro- court expansion takes.
It may be radical of me.
But I think places tend to get better with more people living in them.
Quality video from Lindsay Ellis.
I really like the Mr Rogers/Ms Rachel comparisons.
Also, makes me realize how spoiled the 90s were with quality kids content.

I think this gets close to saying the definition for a planet is bad. Hanks probably agrees with this π€·.
But since the fish debate I don't think he wants to open the "moon is planet" debate.

One of you guys should have told me not to finish Attack on Titan.
That ending sucked.
So we're now 4 hours passed the time when CDC published measles cases numbers last week. And they still haven't published them.
Is this part of the reason? π I didn't see anything about this this weekend.
Do you know if scientists who post this data are facing any pressure?
The measles data is late today at CDC π and I'm growing concerned about this data.
The CDC hasn't posted measles data yet today, the day they're supposed to publish them according to their own statements.
We're 3.5 hours past the time they posted last week I'm pretty sure.
Hope everyone got to safety before things got bad. β₯οΈ

10.08.2025 15:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm enjoying Attack on Titan more than I was hoping to honestly.
I spoiled the end for myself before I knew I was going to watch it. Knowing the end (roughly) is weird, but this is definitely a good story.
For me, this would entirely depend on how many units were going to be built.
If we're not adding at least 100 units then that's not worth the trade.
This discourse on this has been pretty fraught. But I do think there's a decent chance this ad was DESIGNED to generate controversy.

How do these projections tie into potential feedback loops?
Does a max of 4C of warming imply we have some confidence that there are no feedback loops which could trigger in that modeled range of scenarios?
None which could bring us out of the state range, tbc.
Suggestion for LLM designers:
Can you please make it so LLMs loathe single character variables? That would benefit everyone I think.
I think this varies across schools. But in HS I always looked at the 800 and 1600 as way worse than the 5Ks I ran in XC.
I could put respectable numbers up without totally killing myself running a 5K.
Better late than never.
My version of that is probably my eating. I eat way better now than I did in my 20s.
Gotta treat our bodies right if we plan on sticking around on this planet for awhile.
To right the fiscal ship in this country virtually everyone is going to need to see a tax increase.
It sucks, but that's what we get for spending money like it was free for so long.
You have to be a certain kind of masochist to want to do XC.
I was the kind that felt joy when my legs hurt. It was a good sign that I actually did meaningful practice.
You might find this surprising but the official temperature had never hit 100 deg F in Tampa (in the record keeping era) until today
