May I chime in, please? There are plenty of volunteer opportunities in several critical elections right now: VA, NJ, PA Supreme Court, CA Prop 50. You can phonebank, textbank, canvass, write postcards or letters, talk to friends and family. Go to mobilize.us to find events. Also, donate is good.

By all means protest but don't lose sight of the election coming up.

The most useful political activity most of us can do right now is research the candidates for our upcoming local elections and see if the most progressive ones could use some volunteers or have signs you can put up in your yard.
