You almost never see/hear/read a person-on-the-street quote in which that person is saying "Yeah, immigrants are great." If it hates it rates just like if it bleeds it leads, and we get a disproportionate number of right-wingers sharing their hate and disinformation about immigration from msm.

If not we should. Myths, fears and stigma abound there as well.

This requires buy-in from the FDA, insurance companies, and recruitment and training of more people including BIPOC.. so many systems need improvement in order for this to happen!

So many important areas I forgot to mention- the important of the BLM movement as another mass trauma reckoning, as well as the importance of psychedelic therapies being skillfully offered to diverse populations in a way that is culturally sensitive and, of course, affordable and accessible.

I was told today that “lived experience is not a serious perspective”. It seems that many people aren’t aware that the field of mental health is largely based upon subjective experience, feelings, and plain observations. Lived experience runs the show. This is not hard science, folks… sorry

I’m not really sure that’s fair to them and it’s causing many others immense pain and confusion, including outstanding therapists and other highly sensitive clinical trial participants./16

I’ve often wondered if Nese has ever considered that it could actually be quite distressing and even re-traumatizing to be told that your hard earned healing from sexual trauma/abuse is the result of cult indoctrination. /13

Okay- and it’s a little bit about the absurdity of one person claiming they are the expert and authority on literally hundreds of peoples experiences that they know nothing about.
