I just finished Nightshade by Autumn Woods… HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FUNCTION AFTER THAT AND BOOK 2 ISN’T EVEN ANNOUNCED YET 😭📚💙

Spent the afternoon at a coffee shop with my book. Sat next to a group of two other women doing the same thing. The sun was shining and the fountain nearby murmuring away. Felt a little like a silent book club.

Basically a perfect afternoon, the kind I would write poetry about if I could. ☀️📚💙

This is a no for me 🫣

It was the anxiety and the fear of one day losing mine and the grief that would come with that. It got me thinking about my own mom’s mortality and her growing old which I can’t fathom because she’s my mom and she’s supposed to be around forever.

Safe to say I’ve just really been in my feelings.

I’ve been mulling over this book for a day now and I’m realizing that hit me deeper than I thought emotionally. Surprisingly not the romantic relationship between the FMC and MMC.

It was their relationship with their moms. It got me thinking about mine and I’ve been a bit of a mess all day.

I kept picking up my book any time I had even a minute of downtime today. Ashley Poston remains one of my favourites. Sounds Like Love was such an absolute delight. It was warm, it was tender, it was poignant, it was enchanting. 🎶✨🥹

Finished Sophie Kim’s The God and The Gumiho as well as The God and The Gwisin over the weekend aaand I kinda wish I didn’t. It’s an unfinished series and now I have to wait. 😩

Read book 2 in one sitting so onto the waiting room for book 3 I go. 💙📚

I regret not picking up the Fairyloot edition of The God and the Gwisin. Why oh why did I talk myself out of it? 😭

I almost missed out on the entire series when I attempted to read Assassin’s Blade first. I tried THREE TIMES but I kept putting down AB. 🫣

It probably is, unfortunately. I read ACOSF on an ereader first and waited to for the paperback version to be released like a year after publication . 🥲

Just finished Danielle L. Jensen’s Saga of the Unfated duology!

Book 1 was a really good setup for book 2 where I think things got really good for me. I could not put it down once things started unfolding.

4⭐️. Loved the worldbuilding, the politics, and the complexity of the characters.

I don’t remember the last time I felt so at peace. Today felt like summers did when I was a little kid in the best way.

This was me with Kingdom of Ash. I accidentally read for 12+ hours and got through 90% of it one Saturday because I couldn’t put it down. 😅
