Despising her for her lack of character is 100% valid and I think most trans people in the US at least do too, besides the very few right wing trans folks.

Caitlyn is not above reproach. All the trans people who have told you to respect her name have also said they hate her guts.

Deadnaming a trans person is very equivalent to using a slur; it denies their personhood in a way we cannot be complicit in if we ever hope to be a compassionate society.

I tend to agree, a rewatch made it sit significantly better for me. It's likely to be something I eventually do marathon watch parties for, cuz it's just that good

Whatever complaints anyone may have about the story/character writing in the second season, it's still a nearly unprecedented work of art (I also think if they were in a lesser show, the few flaws people point out wouldn't even be noticed). And season one is a masterpiece, full stop.

There are numerous hints that she is likely still alive, and I happen to agree with you and believe it's thematically better if she lives but leaves Piltover/Zaun either for good or for a very long time

My guess for the reasons they don't include some combination of the champions they selected not being as popular (Senna and Qiyana are some of my personal faves but they're no Ahri), the music not appealing to the Korean fans as much, and just plain old racism (which impacts the others too)

I always thought it was unfortunate that True Damage didn't get more popularity, because I found it musically even more interesting than K/DA!

Could a lesser show have wrapped those same set of plotlines/characters up even that nicely in the very limited time they had? Almost certainly not.

Yea, but the thing that I always try to remember is: you can still enjoy it just as much! There's no obligation on you to only enjoy things that have no problems.

I'd believe that!! She's always been too guarded with previous lovers to let them take control, even if somewhere deep inside she wanted that, but she has so much trust in Vi that she allows her to take control. Also, Vi is clearly so hopelessly devoted that she just wants Cait to feel good

My sapphic heart can barely take it between Vi, Ambessa, and Sevika being strong as hell, and Mel and Cait being gorgeous and clever

The only way I could imagine that happening is if Vi wanted it, which lines up with what you've been saying

I tend to agree with you, but I do understand that Caitlyn is likely more experienced and I could imagine that she might have some very specific preferences that she'd take control of creating. But I think that would be more balanced between them if so, and if one was clearly top it would be Vi

That's why I get so annoyed when people try to say one character or another is on the "good side" or is "evil" when it's so much more complicated than that. And the fact that it *is* more complicated than that is kind of a huge point of the show

I feel like it was honestly part of the intent. It's not supposed to be a feel-good, everything's good now story, it's a story of trauma and challenge and loss.

I love when a story sticks with me like that, because it means it impacted me in some way, and good art usually does.
