Now you would never know what she went through to be here. Sophie is strong, intelligent, funny, and just absolutely brilliant.

Any baby born before 37 weeks is considered premature. Our Sophie was born at 23+4 weeks and was considered a 'micro-premie'. She spent about four months in a NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit) and NNU (Neo-natal Unit) in Portsmouth and then Southampton.

November is Prematurity Awareness Month.

Four years ago today I was taken to the maternity hospital because my waters broke.

I was 23 weeks pregnant.

It took about 2 hours to see a consultant to be told there was no fluid left and I needed to stay in. I had to move to another hospital because they had no room. #PrematureBaby
