2020 was when I realised that, for some politicians, staying popular in some weird way trumped saving lives.
And that they were prepared to sacrifice an undetermined number of people on the altar of the β€œeconomy”. (As long as they & their friends were still alive to reap the benefits, of course).

We must never forget: it wasn’t just the kooky Great Barrington Declaration dudes who promoted RFK Jr & his anti-vaxx BSβ€”it was also some magazines, like The New Yorker, which celebrated him as a β€œmaverick” who would take on β€œthe establishment”

RFK Jr’s hype men will have dead kids as their legacy

David Lammy, "Leaving the EU has badly damaged our economy"

"Untruths were peddled by Brexiters"

"We should work to be closer to EU"

Labour should have said this 16 months ago when they came into office. Better late than never

A photo from a while ago - when I painted a Tree of Life for people to populate with painted postcards of their favourite species. I'm very excited to be working on THREE fascinating tree-of-life related projects next year - a book, a show and another top secret event that I'm VERY EXCITED about.

The entire administrative system of the empire continued - as a way of running cities, with the same job titles very often, converted into explicitly Christian roles. Vicars, deacons, dioceses - all part of secular administration originally. As were basilicas - the β€˜king house’ or town hall.

There was plenty of knowledge from around the world that was not absorbed. I’m less inclined to cut any of those whose jobs are to both inform and make decisions any slack.

Yes - we were shouting about this on indie sage. I was actually naive enough to think the gvmt might install hepa filters in all schools over the summer of 2020.
Instead… they advised wiping of desks!

Things used in everyday life are the real archaeological treasures! These sewing #needles were made from animal bone some 15,000 years ago. Some designs simply don't need to be improved, because form and functions were perfectly matched from the start. Form follows function! 🧡1/2

230,000 Deaths and the β€˜Calculated Silence’ of the Medical Establishment About the COVID Inquiry The Covid Inquiry Report is a devastating critique of the medical establishment which led the UK to the worst public health disaster in a century, argues Anthony Costello

β€œβ€¦saw capacity was running out in the NHS, and, as I say, your trust in the scientists was somewhat misplaced?”

Walport replies β€˜I’m afraid he is utterly wrong’.”
