Purely based on numbers, Dems will never win again if they don’t make room for people to change their minds and come around to their ideas. 🤷‍♀️

Exactly. The thing people are finally finding out through folks like Erika Kirk, Katie Miller etc is that most of them share their husband’s views. We have to stop acting like they’re victims here. They willfully chose to be with these terrible men.

Weird to warn about something they could change today if they wanted to.

Trump is still polling at 90% approval rating among Republicans.
Until that number changes dramatically, GOP Congressional members will not do anything to rein him in. MTG is a firebrand who can go off-script without hurting her popularity—but even she knows better than to criticize the King.

My view is you shouldn’t use your position in office to enrich yourself. I’d be surprised if most median voters regardless of political party disagree with me. But in MA some politicians never have primary challengers and just coast on 36% of voters voting for them.

I never thought I could hate a president more. It’s crazy how naive I was thinking it could never get worse than Dubs.
As a 46 year old I now know that Dubs’s presidency was merely a few bricks paving the way for Project 2025 and Trump’s ascension to office.

When the Government Stops Defending Civil Rights The Department of Education’s abandonment of traditional civil-rights litigation has effectively transported parents back in time, to the era before the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

More than 250 investigators at the D.O.E.’s Office for Civil Rights, which enforces laws that bar discrimination, were informed that they were being laid off. “I am seeing the 1964 Civil Rights Act eviscerated right before my eyes,” one senior manager said.

In Durango, Colorado, ICE GOONS violently assaulted an elderly woman during a peaceful protest. They stole her phone, grabbed her by the hair, and threw her down a hill.

There are more of us than there are of them. No US president has EVER been protested as much as Trump and he knows it. He’s making history with 7M Americans opposing his autocratic takeover. The MAGA right could never organize and show up like we did 10/18. Let’s fucking GO.

We’ve tried. Massachusetts politics are deeply entrenched. And no, I’m not trying to run for a congressional seat lol-I’m not even remotely qualified. But I know that voting (or not) is my one singular power as an American. For me, that means not voting for people who don’t reflect my values. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve voted in every primary since I was 18. I’m 47 years old, sir.

I think my husband wrote in our cat’s name but in a district with 780,000 she got 36%. And you’re right that not voting for her didn’t technically hurt her but I’d like to think that she feels the sting a little bit.

She didn’t have one. Welcome to MA elections where the same old losers stay in office forever without anyone challenging them.

Used to agree but with the last national election I realized how much power non-voters have. Because we’re so calcified along party lines, both parties are desperate to capture even a portion of the 150M Americans who didn’t vote last election because it’s the only way they can make viable gains 🤷‍♀️

I vote in every single election, even the ones that don’t directly affect me. But I refused to vote for Kathleen Clark here in MA because she’s used her position to enrich her personal wealth and has been funded by AIPAC. It’s not always about “helping” sometimes it’s about hurting. A small protest.

Amazon just announced 14,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $40M last year.

UPS announced 48,000 layoffs. Its CEO made over $24M last year.

Intel announced 20,000 layoffs. Its new CEO's pay package is valued at nearly $69M.

This is what I mean when I say the system is rigged.

I mean yes Americans definitely voted for this but Americans admitting that isn’t gonna change jack shit. At least half of the folks who showed up at the polls wanted this and still support it. They’re never gonna change.

At this point I think it’s fair to say that most of the criticisms being lobbed at Mamdani are not out of genuine anger or surprise at any new revelations about him but are rather a transparently bad faith smear campaign to punish him for being a successful politician while Muslim

God I am listening to @aoc.bsky.social unapologetically celebrating cities -- urbanity, diversity, creativity, decency -- and it is giving me life.

Nothing but respect for *my* president.
