The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

His last spoken word before being shot was "violence".

I'm not arguing that he wasn't a horrible person. He did a lot of damage through what he said and did.

This does NOT, however, give anyone license to kill him. Political violence is NEVER warranted. There are a lot of ways to take away someone's bully pulpit, and assassination is not on that list.

Horrific to hear that Charlie Kirk was shot today in Utah. Political violence must be always and totally rejected. Praying for him and all who may have been injured or impacted.
