Recent faves include A House With Good Bones and What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher, and if you haven’t read Amityville Horror or Turn of the Screw, both are classics for a reason.

I adore haunted house stories and I shit you not this is easily one of the best I can remember reading. Approachable, human, oddly believable, and tense af. Strongly recommend.
