Nathaniel Rakich posts: The AP has called the GOP primary for Maricopa County recorder-the top elections official in Arizona's biggest county-for Justin Heap, who defeats incumbent Stephen Richer 42-36%. Heap is an election denier, while Richer incurred wrath for acknowledging Biden's 2020 win. Worth noting that Richer will remain in office through the end of the year, so he'll still administer the fall election in Maricopa. And Democrats will have a real shot to defeat Heap in November in this swing county.
