I guess it’s kinda poetic for Halo 1 to be both the original launch title for Xbox, and the death title for Xbox

I think it’s the remake issue where you’re taking a lot of high quality assets and putting them together to make something that looks like a real life photograph, but as an end result you lack a distinct art style or sense of tone. It’s probably nostalgia but original Halo looks more unique to me

Also, the Halo remake only exists because every Halo game since 2012 has been a failure to some degree. This is both trying to be a faithful 1-1 remake, but its also trying to modernize it and change some of the core gameplay, and i think its because they don't have confidence in either direction

Halo CE is one of my favorite games ever, but I'm not super excited for the remake. There are things about it that look "neat" but overall I don't really want this. The things that made Halo 1 special are tied to the era it was made in and the charm just isn't there.

I think it’s serendipitous that in a year where games companies are raising game price standards to $80 and raising the price of their consoles, the games I’ve heard buzz about are all CHEAPER than average. Expedition 33? $50. Silksong? $20. Deltarune? $25. Split Fiction? $50.

The comparisons between Microsoft and Sega regarding the console market is not a very fair comparison to make.

For starters, Sega was still making games.

Theres no way someone uses this enough to justify a subscription. If anything people use this a demo system for games they'd want to buy later. Except demos used to be free.

Probably Broly, that one has a lot going on, so it has a lot of funny character moments. And Abridged Broly is amazing. A close second for me is Dead Zone, purely for dbza Garlic Jr and his incompetent minions (and the Gohan apple trip)

I thought for a while that there isnt going to be a 5th generation of xbox, but genuinely, who the hell is going to buy a console with 0 exclusives for $650? I think Microsoft is going to try to sell their remaining product for the most they can sell it for then kill the brand

At this rate, I'm looking forward to the holidays when these companies hit record lows for sales
