Unforeseen benefits of Sociology, as I discovered this week. MAN is it good for your world building. Really interesting. Though I bet my poor Sociology professor never expected I'd be using his sacred knowledge imparted upon us to help build a full blown Wizard Society.

Like his did. (He didn't know. Since he's a freelance coach.) But no. Nowadays a lot of parents just hand their kids the Tech from as young as Pre-K as a defacto babysitter and call it a day. There is no such thing as parental guidance nowadays. ESPECIALLY when it comes to the internet.

You'd think. Parents would be invested enough in what their kids consume enough to know what the dang hell a Squid Game is JUST enough to steer away from buying the show's merch or letting their kids watch it considering ya know, it's marketed as 15+. Especially when the school warns you about it.

Absent. Can confirm. My brother got in trouble the other day for mentioning Squid Game at his school when playing Red Light Green Light in PE. Turns out he thought it was for kids because it was everywhere and the kids wouldn't shut up about it. (Elementary Schoolers mind you.) Until he googled it.

I know right!? I ADORE them and both I find were especially influential in regards to my own work. Howl's Moving Castle especially because I love writing Witches and Wizards and the like.

Made a sketch out of a Taric Cosplay I eventually plan on taking on down the line. Am I unreasonably proud of it? Yes but oh man I can't wait to actually make this project happen. I love Taric.

Oh YES. Don't get me started. What makes it somewhat worse is that my name is distinctively Afrikaans too, so I got the double whammy lol. It's to where everytime I introduce myself I just pull a Viktor and go "Just Lia". Or some other shortened variant of my name/nickname. Even at work.

God as someone with a AGGRESSIVELY German based Afrikaans name I feel his pain. The ONLY people who got my last name right(for the most part) on the first try was my German Art Teacher. But then again he pronounces the first syllable the German way as opposed to the Afrikaans way.

Been a small time gamer since my brothers first put a PS2 controller in my hands in 3rd grade. Nothing has changed today. I still buy, play and enjoy games. Currently saving up for some games on my Steam Wishlist as a treat/bout of self spoiling for my birthday coming up in 2 weeks time.
