I want to make a list of *short stories* (any genre) published by intersex authors in 2025 & hopefully going forward. I've been meaning to do this for a while, and I think now there are plenty of stories.
If you have some stories, let me know / if not, please repost to spread the word?
Thank you!

Here's a lovely photo of a plethora of hand-sewn fabric art creatures. There's a watermelon creature with a red face, eight black seed-like eyes, and a wide mouth with five sharp teeth. There's a white ghost trinket bag covered with purple embroidered flowers. She has a gray face, sparkly black eyes and a little frown. There's a strawberry creature with three bulbous green eyes. There's a watermelon ghost, and a black creature with sharp teeth wearing a bulbous eye earring. There's a large purple creature with many yellow eyes and an open mouth, with a little green creature popping her head out. All the creatures are sitting on green fur and there's a galaxy print fabric in the background.

I've talked about it before but the AIDS Quilt and the project of memorializing queer stories through tangible physical objects is fundamental to how I want to make art and the methods and mediums I choose. This is such a loving interactive digital archive, and I am so sad and glad for it.

Watercolour and ink drawing by me of a grumpy-looking steelhead trout in a deep green pool, frowning up at a large selection of Christmas-themed fishing lures including candy canes, a wreath, a golden tree-topper star, a gingerbread man, green & red glass tree ornaments, a string of Christmas lights, & a Christmas cracker. The fish's mouth is turned down in determination not to bite on any of these.
it's december & that means #ArtAdventCalendar, a tradition started by my friend @jayispainting.earthskyart.ca . i shall endeavour to have all fish, but for now here's an oldie as a placeholder: "Humbug Pool"
because around here it's also winter steelhead season

A 10-inch circular birch-plywood frame holds a round hand-hooked rug of wool flannel fabric strips on a linen foundation fabric. The centre of the design is a traditional MΓ©tis floral medallion, with crimson-red petals, pink buds, and grass-green leaves and tendrils; the background colour is sapphire blue; it is surrounded by a border of four white infinity symbols. The ergonomic rug hook I used to hook this piece lays beside it on a white tabletop.

Watercolour painting showing a bird sitting on a branch. The bird, a great spotted woodpecker, is black and white with a red vent. The branch is highly textured and detailed with blue-green lichen and peeling bark. There is a hint of golden light coming up from below. The background is a slightly textured wash in shades of blue, cooler at the bottom and warmer at the top.
