We should value textile artists more. As a society. Through expressions of monetary value. As far as products of human design and skill and labor go, textiles provide the most comfort per dollar per square centimeter.

My linocut portrait of Henrietta Swan Leavitt is printed in silvery lavender ink on Japanese kozo (or mulberry paper). Today is the first time I’ve done yoga requiring my yoga mat since getting my new rug and I’m very pleased with how good they look together.

I saw Mad Max in the theatre! And absolutely loved it. I’ve enjoyed the spinoffs I’ve seen from it too.

It’s on our list to watch together. One day!
