29.09.2025 18:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs the whole America is the greatest nation ever thing theyβve got going on. They donβt appear to study world history properly until college and only if the courses demand it.

28.09.2025 13:26 β π 284 π 61 π¬ 10 π 22Sometimes I'm in awe of just how old Oxford is and all the people who were born here, lived here and died over centuries. Puts life into perspective somewhat. Walking around the really old buildings makes me wonder about all those who came before, and all those yet to come.
29.09.2025 01:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The buy to let market needs to end, housing stock snapped by Government and returned to social housing. Doable if somewhat politically painful given people are still hooked on the idea owning property makes you wealthy.
27.09.2025 12:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think that's a bit of a western thing, believing history is just that history. Not a breathing and living entity that tends to repeat itself time and again because a majority of humans never learn as they are comfortable and don't think they'll be impacted by anything.
27.09.2025 12:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0She clearly loves the attention her diatribes bring, if she put that much energy into writing books she might have avoided falling into the internet rabbit holes she fell into. Emma Watson was nice the only time I met her in Oxford. Didn't say a word to her, she looked relieved by that and smiled.
27.09.2025 12:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I do have a passport for ID purposes, but it's an expensive process and no guarantee you'll get one. Not something many can afford when prices on everything keeps going up.
27.09.2025 12:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't have an issue with an ID card to prove who you are, opening a bank account etc but to centre it around the right to work is nakedly trying to court voters who'll not be voting for the Labour party at the next election. Also calling it a Brit Card is naff. Just call it an ID card.

27.09.2025 12:04 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I tend to put an audiobook on then get into that and before I know it, the time is 5am. I'm currently listening to Sleep Token, and reading about Grunya Yefimovna Sukhareva.
27.09.2025 02:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Looks like another way for meta to gather data while trying to make it look cool so people donβt ask questions. Other than to Metaβs AI to fill the rage machine.
16.09.2025 08:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I tend to overbuy socks. As I tend to lose them, get new socks and βoh thereβs the old socksβ.
11.09.2025 05:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"While scientists rarely proclaim absolutes, autism researchers say that they are as sure as they can be that thereβs no one cause of the condition. βItβs never going to be true,β says Tager-Flusberg; decades of data reveal that a complex (and highly variable) origin is the only logical conclusion."

02.09.2025 08:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Oxfordshire ADHD service is closed to all referrals so Iβm having to wait and see if the Adult Mental Health team will be able to provide ADHD meds. I think itβll be a no, but the current government seem to not want to spend money on improving services in general for autistic and ADHD peeps.
27.08.2025 06:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs that time when the season is about to turn/change. I can feel it in my bones. Itβs been a bit discombobulating with some trees and plants going into autumnal mode due to heat stress.
27.08.2025 06:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I expect it will happen after the budget if it goes down like a cold bucket of sick. Or it could happen during the summer recess.

29.07.2025 15:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I get the reasons why, my inattentiveness made them decide they couldn't monitor me safely, remotely. I'm just a tad frustrated as I was on a stimulant medication for something else a long time ago, and it sort of worked.
29.07.2025 14:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A fair enough decision to take. I'm still a bit peeved by the right to choose provider I went through for an ADHD diagnosis kicking me back to my GP's as they won't prescribe ADHD meds to people with high blood pressure.
29.07.2025 14:17 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0She probably knows that and simply does not care, anything to rile people up and get views/clicks.
29.07.2025 09:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's kind of what I got when I quit the Labour Party over welfare reforms and a few other decisions. Some didn't like it when I called Starmer a limp turnip that needed to go in the compost bin for use in new pastures.
