Long story short, if you are a former Washington State nurse returning to nursing, do NOT choose South Dakota State University Nursing. You will for sure regret that choice and they will refuse to give you a refund. They will blame you for their failure too.

I also called out South Dakota State University Nursing for not having a Plan B in place for students facing these unexpected hurdles. I won't be a nurse now because of all of this which is life altering both professionally and monetarily. They want me to take it without uttering a peep.

In this meeting, South Dakota State University decided they were going to flip the script to avoid giving me a refund. They took punitive action against me calling the preceptor, and the facility out for allowing unprofessional and flaky behavior. Unprofessional was the word I used.

Knowing that I only had until the end of October to complete my hours or give up on getting my license back altogether, this nurse quit and I politely called her out for unprofessional behavior. SDSU took this as a call for punitive action. They wanted a meeting. I want a refund.

After finding a preceptor, she was fired the week I was supposed to start my clinicals. Months later, I did find a new preceptor at the rehab unit in Christian Health Care Center in Lynden WA. 2 days into clinicals, my preceptor decided she had better things to do and quit.

I started a nursing refresher course with South Dakota State University's Nursing Program over a year ago.
Before one is accepted into the program, they expect you to find your own clinical situation for, in my case as a former LPN, 120 clinical hours are required to get my nursing license back.
