Thanks! Are Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go very different? I definitely saw the latter when scrolling through last night!

I guessed people might recommend Bluey. I don't have Disney+ but I might be able to access it elsewhere if I bought it. I'll look!

Most popular cartoons will have been dubbed - so you don't have to know if it's available in Spanish. I'm just looking for recommendations of younger audience animated shows I might actually enjoy watching!

I couldn't figure it out either! I mean, I don't think you can, but does make it *even more* confusing.

What are your favourite animated TV series aimed at kids between 5 - 9? *Your* favourite, not theirs.

I'm looking for shows I can watch that have been dubbed into Spanish. Dubbed cartoons are much better than dubbed live action and frankly, that's about the language level I'm at right now.

Leaving my PhD was one of the best decisions I ever made (it took me time to decide to leave, I had leaves of absence, etc prior to withdrawing). After, I struggled with the decision during the first year, but then I realised I was so glad I chose not to finish it. It was the right choice for me!

Okay, I ask, as a former PhD candidate to who left my programme: What will acquiring a PhD do for you? Are you wanting to do a specific job or role that requires a PhD qualification? Is there something you want to do in the future you can *only* do with a PhD in your pocket? (Asking sincerely.)

Arthur Wellesley and friend.

Arthur Wellesley and friend.

In common with every camera-wielding lifeform in Glasgow, I have seen the Rebel Bear's latest piece.

The witch made him hot chocolate.

"They say I'm strong," he said. "And I am."

He took a sip.

"They say I can overcome any hardship."

"Mm," said the witch.

"And I can. I do."

The witch said nothing.

"But I shouldn't have to!"

"No."

The witch held the hero as he wept.

"No, you shouldn't."

This is beautiful. It's poetry, but as an osteologist, your bones will only ever tell us a fraction of who you were - and your sex and gender will only ever be estimates, if studied. Even with the grave goods your loved ones leave with you, we'll only ever build a part of the picture of who you are.

When You Asked Me If I Still Think Of You

Here is the herringbone of loss. The exoskeleton of a love fossilised by grief. I still say your name even if it crumbles in my mouth like the wreckage of a ship left alone to the elements. What do I do with this sea of language you have left within me. Who can I tell about it when all the vowels are you. In the panic of this forgetting is a memory fading into shadow and light. How do I forget the shape of your heart now that I know its vocabulary. The truth then: we turn our hearts into museums of the people that we love to keep them alive inside us.

Someone just asked me β€œwhat’s the takeaway” from my book, A Passion For Passion, the most impossible question to answer.

I guess the underlying message is that silliness is worthwhile and funny things are fun to make funny, but I don’t really know how to put that into optimiser-tech-bro-speak.

Yeah and I know a party is about more than the leader (though they're uhh, a significant factor). The local Greens, who I did try to get in touch with at the last two elections, have been seriously lacking here and I'm someone who seriously considers my MP based on local issues... I guess we'll see?

It's definitely worth a try! I might not be the target audience, since I'm already engaged, but I love seeing the behind-the-scenes views into labs at museums, etc where you just peek at people doing their work!

Really how they publish the evaluation of this. Folks have been trying to increase public interest in post ex for so long, will this openness and regularity get people intrigued? How will it interact with the work? Will the public pop down as hoped?

A digital drawing of one of those drawing tutorials that says 'don't do this, do this.'
The drawing is of an almost naked middle-aged man doing a flying kick. The 'Don't do this' one has a bunch of areas circled and a cross under it. The 'Do this' one is exactly the same but without the circles and a tick instead of a cross.
The text reads 'Needlessly adding red circles will ruin your art' and a smaller bit of text at the bottom reads 'Bonus tip! Add a tick under all your art so people think you did it right.'

Hey! Northern hemisphere folks:

this is my annual reminder to myself and perhaps also to you that if you have the schedule autonomy to permit it, get out for a walk or whatever during daylight hours! It's important!

You can work more when it's dark but you need whatever sunlight is available!

did we all just get over hypno-boobs?

can anyone tell me how they're feeling about that now?

how, or even if, they're reconciling with it and moving on?

did anyone else do this? I have zero recollection of what I signed up for or how I came across it. I vaguely remember doing it, but only because I have evidence that I did do it. I'm thinking to do it again if I can figure out how I did it in the first place...

Bars of clay that have been fired at various temperatures and under different atmospheric conditions. Ranging in colour from red terracotta to very dark chocolate brown. Along with some Munsell soil colour charts used to record the test results.
