Sadiq Khan caved into the unions last year. Now they're back for more; meaning more strikes. So, once again it's Londoners who are left paying the price for Labour's failings.

TfL are burying their heads in the sand over failings with the temporary speed limit on the A20.

The signage used was inadequate, and TfL admit they followed rules for a permanent speed limit.

Visited Epping Forest yesterday with the @londonassembly.bsky.social Environment Committee to hear how the City of London's Epping Forest team are helping the forest and it's biodiversity thrive.

The forest is home to some trees which are over 1,000 years old.

During the day we discussed challenges facing waste management and opportunities to make the sector even greener. At the site, Cory don't just generate energy but the ash is also used to make concrete.

I am proud that both Bexley and Bromley consistently top the recycling rates for London. But not all our waste can be recycled. Earlier this week I visited the Waste from Energy site in Belvedere, where waste is turned into energy.

Initiatives like the fantastic Super Saturday on Bexleyheath Broadway are a great way of keeping our high streets vibrant and as hubs for the local community.

Lesnes Abbey Woods recognised as one of the UK’s best-managed parks Bexley Council announced that Lesnes Abbey Woods has been awarded a prestigious Green Flag for 2025.

Fantastic to see the beautiful Lesnes Abbey Woods recognised an "an invaluable green lung in a very urban area" with "excellent management and fantastic community involvement" as part of its well deserved Green Flag Award.

Alison is Chair of the Friends of Coney Hall Recreation Ground: raising tens of thousands of pounds for the transformation of the park.

They have both made a lasting difference to the local community.

For Hayes and Coney Hall ward: Councillor Alexa Michael and I nominated Dennis Moor and Alison Regester for recognition.

Dennis served as Chair of the Coney Hall Village Residents Association for many years, before stepping down earlier this year.
