Out this afternoon on the Avery Hill estate speaking to residents about the need for more parking.

Avery Hill has very poor public transport links & most residents need to drive to get around.

RBG needs to understand that different areas of the borough have different needs.

Great morning out speaking to residents in New Eltham. Plenty of concern raised about Sigma’s plans to build 205 homes at the STC.

I’ve been clear that this is an unacceptable development on Metropolitan Open Land and a loss of vital green space and I have formally objected to the scheme.

Can’t remember who told me but I had heard that TfL thought it would impact the bus times on the route too much because of the amount of traffic between eltham and Woolwich. Arguably though that traffic has got worse since they changed the speed limit!

Last month, TfL launched their consultation for the proposed SL15 Superloop service between Clapham Junction and Eltham.

There are under three weeks to respond to the consultation and you can see the proposed route below.

It was a privilege to lay a wreath at the Eltham War Memorial this Remembrance Sunday.

We were out litter picking for Councillor Greenwell’s litter pick this morning at Eltham Park South.

Our eldest enjoyed using her ‘glitter’ stick to pick up the litter 🤣

Out in Chislehurst this morning - positive response.

So many residents feeling let down by this Labour government and their Labour MP.

Good question. It doesn’t say in the communication from Lidl but given the number of properties it will have to include some element of affordable housing.

Completely agree on your point re people moving away. It’s why we need to use sites like this to change that issue.

I’ve been contacted by Lidl regarding plans to redevelop the Mecca Bingo site on Eltham Hill.

Plans include 21 flats, 7 townhouses, community space & new Lidl store.

FWIW I think this is a great use of the site and delivers much needed housing. Keen to hear others views too.

Labour’s own report shows their LTN has had a negligible impact on air quality.

This isn’t about air quality, it never has been. It’s about making money from hard working Greenwich residents.

Being a local councillor isn’t all glamour - I popped down to New Eltham this afternoon to water the planters outside the Coop to make sure they continue to brighten up the village.

This Tory Party conference has set out a positive & fiscally responsible Conservative vision for the future.

A future Tory government would cut the size of the state & bring welfare under control while boosting our high streets & abolishing stamp duty to help grow the economy!

We were out this morning speaking to residents in New Eltham.

Lots of interesting conversations with residents raising Thames Water disruption and delivery bikes on the High Street - two issues we are very aware of and working to address 💪🏼

Revealed: Just 60 fines issued to delivery bikes on Eltham High Street since Jan 2024

That’s fewer than 3 a month. Labour aren’t taking this seriously — we’ll be putting forward our plan next month to step up enforcement and fix it.

It was great to attend the Eltham Choral Society concert at St Mary’s Eltham CCA this afternoon with Councillor Greenwell.

These Friday afternoon concerts were supported by all three Eltham Town and Avery Hill councillors with funding from our ward budget.

What a lovely afternoon at the Community Hopsice Fun Day in Avery Hill Park.

I know first hand the amazing work the Community Hospice does in our borough and it is as great to support that work today.

Parking problems already hurt footfall on Eltham High Street—this will only make it worse.
