Erm it's not about income it's about assets. Some of the assets in the UK are worth billions and haven't changed hands since the doomsday book in the 11th century. Inherited stagnant asset wealth holds 'older' countries like ours back. Unproductive money.

The GDP in the UK is around $3.7 trillion the GDP of Massachusetts is $0.78 trillion. Plus a lot of our wealth is not accounted for in current GDP as it's legacy wealth. The principle is more important than the actual numbers.

$5 billion which was more than forecast. Just 1% annual levy on wealth exceeding £10 m in the UK would generate £25b. The key point is that the flight of capital is not how it is portrayed, nor is trickle down economics working.
