Christ is Still in the Rubble: A Sermon by the Rev. Dr. Munther Isaac It has been 440 days. 440 days of constant bombing. Nonstop. 440 days of starvation. On top of 17 years of siege and imprisonment. Tens of thousands killed. Injured. Forever disabled. Imprisoned.

It is still hell.
The weapons are still traded
The piles of rubble still grow
The bodies still lie unburied
The captives are still captive
The silence is still deafening
The impunity still protected
The little town
Is anything but still
