We have a housing affordability crisis more than a volume of homes crisis.

Trickle down economics with housing does not work as the rules of supply and demand do not apply to market housing. We can never build enough supply to lower housing prices into affordable ranges.

Nothing in this election is decided - it gets decided on election day by your vote.

So don’t vote just off what you think is going to happen - look at your local candidates and make the best decision between them.

With a week until advanced voting and two until election night the noise is starting to settle.

Let’s take a pause and look at local candidates.

We are not an American style democracy but a Canadian one and that means electing strong local MP’s matter.

In Canada 1 in 4 workers work shift work and 1 in 3 families have at least one parent that works outside of the normal 9-5. Despite this only 2% of childcare providers work outside of 9-5 and there is no structure for these workers to access subsidized care.

It means pushing candidates on policy that will bring more people out to the polls. It means volunteering on election day to get seniors and others to the polls. It means supporting strong local candidates and telling people to vote instead of letting averaged national averages decide for you(20/20)

THE TAKEAWAY Turnout beats Conservatives. We need the public engaged in the campaign and going out to the polls. That means open discussion that doesn't disengage people by telling them their vote doesn't count or that they have no choice. (19/20)

All this doesn't adjust for population rise, but as that differs by region, that's really involved math. Roughly, looking at these numbers should be enough to go by. (18/20)
