18.10.2025 23:22 β π 89434 π 29072 π¬ 2321 π 1864Donald Trumpβs faith advisor, Paula White, recently said that βto say no to President Trump would be saying no to God.β
Has a more idolatrous statement ever been made?
Too many worship Donald Trump, replacing Jesus, the Prince of Peace, with Trumpβ¦
Follow Jesus. Reject Trump.
Whenever I hear Donald Trump or a MAGA acolyte like Marjorie Taylor Greene claim that #God is on their side, I am reminded of what President Abraham Lincoln once said:
"Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right."
Amen!
I just left the Senate floor after speaking out against the Big Ugly Bill.
It breaks my heart that this is what weβve come to as a Senate β and as a country.
One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that we should be more concerned about a poor person misusing the welfare system or an immigrant being here illegally than we are about the ultra wealthy abusing the system and cruel people having unchecked power over all of us.

In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker.
In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker.
This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker.
That has got to change.
As you may know, I have a new book coming out in August. If youβd like to pre-order it, without co-funding Jeff Bezosβs next mansion, I recommend purchasing it today for Independent Bookstore Day.

The final honor guard for Pope Francis included migrants, prisoners, transgender people, the homeless and others selected by the Vicariate of Rome as a symbol of the late popeβs mission of inclusion and outreach.

Tomorrow it could be the SCOTUS Justices and Democratic members of Congress

The 500 richest people in the world added $304B to their combined net worth yesterday after Trump's tariff pause.
And what did Republicans in the House do today?
They passed a budget resolution that paves the way for more tax cuts for the rich.
"Party of the working class."
The Supreme Court has unanimously ruled the Trump regime must facilitate the return of a Maryland man wrongly deported to El Salvador.
How lawless do your actions have to be for even Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito to rule against them?
The Trump regime is working to deter dissent.
Anyone who goes against Trump could end up on a target list.
This is having a chilling effect on five major pillars of society β universities, science, the media, the law, and the arts.
It's straight out of the fascist playbook.
The Trump tariff roller-coaster goes off the rails.
The mad king makes a mockery of the rule of law.
The Reverse Robin Hood budget bill begins.
Heather and I break down this week's news β and take a sneak peek at my new memoir β on today's Coffee Klatch.

Cost of extending the Trump tax cuts for the rich: $4.6 trillion
Cost of cutting corporate tax rate to 15%: $1 trillion
Remember this as we hear about "wasteful government spending."
The stock portfolios of more than two dozen members of Congress outperformed the market in 2024.
This isn't due to luck or skill.
Lawmakers can use privileged information to trade stocks while theyβre supposed to be working for you.
Make no mistake, itβs legalized corruption.
Trump and the U.S. are officially in a trade war with China.
Hereβs what you should know.
The United States is the richest country in the history of the world. But who benefits from those riches?
Consider: the richest 10% of Americans hold nearly 70% of the nationβs wealth β while the bottom 50% hold just 3%.
See the problem?
Under the Trump budget plan just passed by Congress, a staggering 70% of House Republicans would personally financially benefit from extending major tax loopholes.
More money for them, paid for by cuts to YOUR benefits.
100 billionaire families spent $2.6 billion in the 2024 election.
70% of these donations went to Republicans.
Now, Republicans in Congress are gearing up to slash essential programs to pay for another round of tax cuts for the rich.
This is what oligarchy looks like.
15 years ago the Supreme Court decided corporations are people under the First Amendment.
Today, billionaire political spending is up 160-fold since that ruling.
Citizens United is among the worst decisions in history. It corrupts our system every day.
If Trump can claim a "national emergency" to disappear legal residents without due process, whatβs to stop him from doing the same to U.S. citizens who oppose him?
No one is safe β not even people legally in the country, possibly not even American citizens.
Fascism is here.
Instead of using βemergencyβ decrees to move us toward authoritarianism, Trump should declare our broken health care system an emergency and move us toward guaranteed health care for all.
When 85 million Americans are uninsured or under-insured, thatβs the true emergency.
Itβs clear: Trump and Musk want to make it harder and harder for the elderly and disabled to utilize Social Security.
They donβt care how much pain they cause. Their ultimate goal is to make Social Security dysfunctional, to privatize it and to let Wall Street take it over.
More than 50,000 people in Gaza are dead. 114,000 have been wounded β two-thirds of whom are women & children. The entire infrastructure has been destroyed.
Much of that devastation has been done with bombs that the U.S. supplied to the Netanyahu war machine. We are complicit.
Netanyahu loves Trump's plan to force 2 million people from Gaza & turn it into a billionairesβ Riviera. He calls it "voluntary migration.β
It's not voluntary if you bomb & starve those who stay.
Itβs ethnic cleansing. It's a war crime.
No more military aid to Netanyahu.
In America last year, nearly 40 million workers made less than $17 an hour. Unacceptable.
Nobody in America can make it on $7.25 an hour, $9 an hour or $12 an hour.
We need an economy in which all of our workers earn a living wage.
Trumpβs trade chaos is undermining our economy and hurting American families.
If Republicans have their way on tariffs and their huge tax bill, most Americans will see their taxes go up, while those on top get a big break.
We need a trade policy that puts working people first.
The U.S. is the only major country on Earth that does not guarantee workers a paid vacation.
When a husband, wife & kids are unable to spend any time together on vacation, that is not a family value. It's an attack on everything a family is supposed to stand for.
Unacceptable.
