I used to think it was just Democrats failing to strategize smartly. Now, however, I think it has always just been elites with no real concern for the public good holding onto wealth and power. Won't get fooled again.

I get it - Old people pretty much suck these days, but maybe hold off on calls that we "just die." Mock them mercilessly when they deserve it and TAKE the power they currently hoard by getting involved in your community and the political process. Social media griping doesn't count.

I enjoyed listening to his albums as a teen. I sort of object to the headline on the NYT article - sure, he had some irreverent and subversive humor, but it was a feature of the times (remember Lenny Bruce, NYT?) He had some good, funny anti-war and anti-nuke songs.
