I don’t know… I sometimes kinda feel like I’m the odd one out for thinking Mystery Incorporated wasn’t REALLY that great a show (let alone even a SD series) since I’ve grown and appreciated a lot of stuff outside of MI because it felt like it was more a product of its time more than anything…

Ever since after seeing MI, I’ve seen and even grown to appreciate a lot of things more than MI with like with The Bad Guys 2, and how its cast won me over than MI.

To see that put MI to shame was unexpected, yet it made me feel like their cast resonated with me more than all of Mystery Inc.

I feel like what Doctor Who and Rocky & Bullwinkle do right for me what Mystery Incorporated couldn’t was make me feel for the characters as opposed to Mystery Incorporated making the titular group more like plot pieces for the overarching plot.

The former two out of three never had that feeling.

I feel like I must be the only one to see through the kinda weak and pretentiously manipulative writing Mystery Incorporated pulled off giving the allure of the idea of a serialized Scooby-Doo rather than being a genuinely great example of serialization like Doctor Who or even Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Columbo is standing on top of his basset hound, Dog, who is now utilizing the Rush Jet feature from the Mega Man series. Columbo is pointing ahead, with some determination, despite his uneasiness to fly.

So… The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy…

Of all the CN shows I’ve seen, I feel like this became as great as Chowder and Flapjack being as atmospheric and full of character as these two and even foreshadowing other efforts like Adventure Time. Despite its flaws, I loved every moment of it.

Here are some characters I’m developing on for a new project I’m working on
I’m creating fake cereal mascots; heavily inspired by mascots from the 60s.
The scarecrow and rooster would represent the requisite corn cereal; while the bear would be for a berry and mint flavored cereal.
Any thoughts?

Love the idea of fake cereal mascots, and I especially adore the themes you chose for each of the two kinds of cereals here.

Definitely harkens back to the era of animation around the late 50s and early 60s going hand and hand with making advertisements a memorable treat of sorts.
