I admit this isn't the most interesting question to me. The answer is basically any superboss, and everyone knows that.

More excited for tomorrow's question, to see how many of these games I've actually played.

Day 26: Most Difficult Boss Fight

Most of the optional content in FFX (and X-2, from what I recall) is up there.

If it counts, I'd say the real answer is most of the 'hard mode' fights from the MMOs, since they require coordination with other players.

Eorzea, Spira, and Gaia (both VII and IX's versions) are all big runner ups here.

Day 25: Favorite World/Setting

Ivalice, by an admittedly narrow margin. I think it won out in large part to having so many games that explore it in vastly different ways. I think the version in XII might win out as my favorite, but I love all the games that take place here (that I've played).

Day 24: Worst Minigame

The Lightning Dodging Minigame.

This is technically a minigame rather than a hazard since you're required to do it to unlock one of the ultimate weapons. This was, and still is, completely terrible.

Funny coincidence that my favorite and least favorite both come from FFX.

Day 23: Favorite Minigame

BLIIIIITZBALLLLLL!

Absolutely no irony here. It's jank beyond belief but I love it.

The most disappointing XIV news I ever heard was no Blizball for Dawntrail. I wanted to convince NPCs (Alphinaud) to join my team for the sheer silliness of it.

Maybe next time...

Day 22: Final Fantasy You Played Most

This one just feels skewed. It's Final Fantasy XIV, because it's an MMORPG and they take up a ton of your time.

That isn't even a diss- it isn't my favorite Final Fantasy, but I actually greatly enjoy XIV, especially in the story department.

Day 21: Favorite Armor Design

Dark Knight Cecil. It just looks cool and intimidating. He'd probably disagree with this sentiment lmao

I have nothing else to really add here- it's a neat look!

Day 20: Favorite Story

There's a lot of competition for this one...

Tactics has one of the best though, and every other title that might compete has some kind of issue that I think keeps them just shy of this title.

Also I'm a sucker for character duality.

Missed a few days, things got kinda busy. Technically failed, but I want to continue anyway.

Day 19: Favorite Supporting Character

Haurchefant Greystone from XIV. This man has your back no matter what, even when all your other allies fall through.

Literally found out through this post. Just as shocked as you, especially since I was just considering a replay.

Genuinely perked up my mood to hear about this.

Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII

Honorable Mention: Dirge of Cerberus is not nearly as bad as people say, it just needed more time in the oven. If any game deserves a remake using what Square's learned, it's this game.

Day 18: Favorite Spinoff

Final Fantasy Adventure, hands down. It led to the rest of the Mana games, and I love (most of) them almost as much as I love SaGa.

In general I prefer Square's non-FF properties in general.

Day 17: Favorite Soundtrack

This is a ridiculously hard choice. All the games in the franchise (that I've played) have phenomenal music.

Highly recommend IX, X, Tactics, and XIV for listening though. They all at least compete for top spot.

Day 16: Favorite Summon/Spell

Favorite Summon is Yojimbo from FFX, because I really like how he makes you pay for his services, and how much you pay effects his actions.

Favorite general spell is Haste because I like going fast and having more turns :]

Day 15: Favorite Boss Fight

I could pick any number of Super Bosses. I could pick bosses with cool setpieces. I could pick a solid chunk of bosses from FFX...but those aren't super interesting as answers.

So I pick this goober, Gilgamesh. Every fight with him is by far the most fun.

I’m going to echo this and add to it. Don’t feel like you have to justify your excitement. If you like Final Fantasy and have only played a couple games but you’re excited Rebirth is coming to your console, don’t feel like you don’t get to be excited for it because you aren’t a “true fan”.

Day 14: Favorite Summoner Character

Still Rydia from FFIV. Taking the route of not letting people involved in pretty heinous things forget what they did is unironically a very bold decision for the time this game came out.

Also wow, there are surprisingly few named important summoners in FF.

Every single time.

To avoid spoilers I'm not going to talk further about this one...

But I do want to note that Final Fantasy seems to have a habit of knocking it out of the park with their Black Mages, so basically *all of the other ones* get an obligatory honorable mention here, at least the ones I've seen.

Day 13: Favorite Black Mage Character

It is without a doubt Vivi Ornitier from Final Fantasy IX. I deeply enjoy when fiction can make me feel deeply about something, whether a real idea or just the fate of a fictional character.

FFIX did both, and I am not ashamed to admit I cried a lot.

Sony is where they are today because of third party support and acquisition and the consolidation of game companies is one of the worst things that happened to the gaming industry.

Minwu, the original White Mage, coming from Final Fantasy II

If Aeris doesn't count on a technicality, however, I choose Minwu from Final Fantasy II. Heck, they might tie.

This man is easily the best part of the game he's from- except for maybe the core concept of the main antagonist, if not the execution.
