I kinda assumed it would have some intermediate language compilation, like almost every other language nowadays.

It reveals that gdscript is absurdly slow and that the runtime really sucks, as 99% of these tips really would NOT make a noticeable difference in C# unless you were running that code millions of time per frame (not thousands).
