So, there I was, putting some clothes washing on before heading to bed last night and as I picked up the detergent, I was treated to the sight of a giant house spider hiding behind it.

I can't pick a favorite, so I'll go with his unforgettable one sheet for 'John Carpenter's The Thing', a perfect poster for a perfect film, one I didn't know it was his until today 📽️

That's one way to approach it.

The highlighted paragraphs in my pic made me laugh. Considering how shit Google search is these days, coupled with its market dominance, it's probably been impeding UK innovation and productivity for the last three years.

The other posts are from professionals desperately seeking employment after they lost their jobs to ill thought out gen AI rollouts, or people between jobs after a contract ended who can't get anything because of gen AI.

Disgusting levels of vapid disconnection from reality are the main underpinnings of most posts I see on there.

Excellent news for independent researchers. Great to see academic work made more accessible.

Though having the Brotherhood be such dicks (I didn't have much exposure to them first play through) is really weird as someone who liked Fallout 3 a lot.

Fallout 4 replay has turned into trying to keep three factions happy.

It's a dangerous way to play, but I wanted to try.

(I may still decide to shift allegiance to The Institute.)

Any good, fairly priced, online conferences around cybersecurity or secure app engineering coming up?

Don't have the means to travel at the moment + too many responsibilities at home to make travelling outside of SW England, for more than a day, a bit of an issue.
