Final day, 24: no game

Spent the time with family. Customized wind up toys for glorious battles!

Day 22/23: Mario & Sonic at the winter Olympic Games, Advanced Wars Reboot Camp.

Found an old Wii for sale and enjoyed some fun doing the sledding. Also hosted some more advanced war multiplayer with friends! That got bitter fast on a hometown custom map.

Day 20/21: Dynasty Wars/ Mega Twins

I actually beat both of these arcade games from one of the Capcom classic collections. Spammed extra coins of course 🙇‍♂️

Still, I absolutely loved them. Mega Twins visuals has aged charmingly, and dynasty wars hits that old jank translation charm I love.

Day 18/19: Volcanoids, Spelunky 2 (PC)

Enjoying some online multiplayer,
Volcanoids has the panic as the volcano erupts and you are trying to close up the gaps in your hull.
And Spelunky 2 is stress by stakes, you can do so well and loose everything so quickly...

Both underground... huh.

Day 15/16/17: Tennis (NES), Super Tennis (SNES), Smash Tennis (SNES)

I played a bunch of tennis games to catch up due to work obligations.

- Tennis, is tennis.
- Super tennis was my least favorite, AI kicked my butt.
- Smash Tennis, the best because a lady carrying drinks fell in the background.

Day: 14 The Elder IV Scrolls Oblivion (PC)

Honestly this has aged great, love the jank that is there. Loved the opening customisation sequence and just freely roaming the world.

Day 13: Nintendo world championships NES Edition!

Hosted a great event with 8 players, this game was brilliant and made everyone highly competitive! A really good way to enjoy classics in a new context.

Day 12: Final Fantasy III (DS)

This game was a good reminder of what I loved about classic final fantasy. The freedoms in how you build your character... Also a good reminder on how spoiled I've been on auto save...

Day 11: Resident Evil 4 (Wii)

Much prefer the controls in this version compared to when I played it on the GameCube a few years ago. Not really my genre of preference, but nice to experience different things now and then.

Day 09/10:

Doubled down on some N64 classics today playing both Banjo Kazooie and Pokemon Stadium 2!

I did miss the old gen Pokemon battle system. And enjoyed exploring the first levels in Banjo Kazooie~

Day 08: GO GO Princess Maker!

Not really a new one, a wonderfully unpolished game that's amazing with friends!
Amazing board game mini RPG elements. Always ends in making everyone daughters fighting in town. Sad that first place always gets the same ending marrying the prince...

Days 06/07: Two DS games! Multiplayer with friends! Ikadaki Street DS and Dr Kawishimas Brain Training!

Day 05: Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest/Birthright

(I played conquest, my partner birthright)

A nice fire-emblem to come back to and play, engaging story love the path split, and the castle customization is a nice pace breaker. A set of games we'll likely finish together.

Day 04: The Sims 2 (PC)

Not too much game yesterday really, as it crashes a lot on Windows 11 if you run it unmodified off the discs... But I enjoyed the character creation! And the little minigame you play while it installs.

Out of context Wuhu island lore implies a sinister redacted history for the island in the Wii games.

Day 03: Wii Party

Didn't realize it was an entirely different game than Wii Party U. Will definitely revisit with friends on a games evening. The randomness of just frustrating enough to enhance the play.

Day 02: Northgard

A wonderful loss in a five player match, killed a dragon, starved through winter, harassed my neighbors. Great time!

Decided that on each day leading up to Christmas for advent I'll play a new game old or new that I bought and never played~

Day 1: Hero's Of Might and Magic III

Multiplayer Hot Seat mode is fantastic, love the old UI and visuals, tones of cool units and armies.

I'll play this one again for sure!
