Bernie has always been pretty protectionist. I don't think he's entirely opposed to the tariffs because he wants more union workers available to his message.

AOC, on the other hand, is a bit more internationalist, so I need to look more into it.

The Mariners are a toxic relationship, and I love them for it.

My era of being depressed about Luka is over. I begin my new era; depressed about the Mariners.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

Harrell's Budget Eliminates Brand-New Tribal Nations Training Program - PubliCola By Erica C. Barnett InΒ September, Mayor Bruce Harrell boasted that his proposed 2025-2026 budget would not cause any β€œnoticeable impacts…

Was just reminded that Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell eliminated the city's workforce equity programs in last year's budget, along with other programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This image displays a list of U.S. senators who support a particular issue or bill, with a total count of 60 supporters. Each senator's name is accompanied by their state abbreviation and, in some cases, a quote or comment. The list includes:

1. Catherine Cortez Masto (Nevada) – with a quote: "It would cause too many Americans to suffer."

2. Dick Durbin (Illinois)

3. John Fetterman (Pennsylvania) – with a partial quote: "I will never vote to shut the government down."

4. Kirsten Gillibrand (New York)

5. Margaret Wood Hassan (New Hampshire)

6. Gary Peters (Michigan)

7. Brian Schatz (Hawaii)

8. Charles E. Schumer (New York) – with a quote: "For sure, the Republican bill is a terrible option."

9. Jeanne Shaheen (New Hampshire) (grayed out, possibly indicating a different status or emphasis)

Each senator is represented with a small portrait on the left, and the text is formatted with bold headings and lighter subtext. The list appears to be part of a political report or legislative tracking document.

Cloture has met the 60 votes to pass in the senate with the help of at least 9 Democrats: Schumer, Fetterman, Hassan, Cortez Masto, Durbin, Gillibrand, Shaheen, Schatz, and Peters.

They sold out our country to Trump and Elon. They're traitors to democracy.

Bernie Sanders: "If you do nothing, you sit back and say, 'it's gonna be terrible.' And that's right. A shutdown will be terrible. But our job is to put the onus on the Republican president, the Republican House, the Republican Senate, the people who control the govt"

They want everyone to touch the stove, for the federal government and the markets to stay bad, and if somehow people come around, maybe there will be a desire to rebuild a fraction of what was lost. This is condemning America to a generations or more of awful things to win the midterms.

Reminder that Harrell called Elon a "smart innovator".

If tearing our international credibility down at record pace is innovating, I don't want it.

You can extinguish tear gas canisters!

Wearing gloves, submerge the canister in a wide-mouthed water jug containing baking soda, dish soap, and/or vegetable oilβ€”3 tablespoons of each per liter of water.

Cover the top with one hand, just enough to keep the gas from getting out, and shake the jug.
