Good clarification. In the newsletter, I wrote that the M64 "may also replace a full MiSTer FPGA stack," meaning the hardware, not the project itself.

Glad to hear that ModRetro is committed to making the MiSTer cores playable out of the box, though.

19.09.2025 15:17 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The MiSTer Pi is great, but it uses the same Cyclone V as the DE10 Nano on the MiSTer FPGA. The Super Station One will also use that chip.

The M64 and Analogue 3D will use more powerful FPGAs, which will raise the ceiling considerably.

Meet the dev shaping dual-screen emulation

Dual-screen Android handhelds like the AYANEO Pocket DS and AYN Thor run custom software to make the two screens work, but what about the emulators themselves?

That work has fallen to a single developer, SapphireRhodonite. And so far, he's doing an incredible job.
